Job Summary
Primary Objective:Certainteed Corporation, a roofing manufacturing plant located in Oxford, NC is recruiting for manufacturing operators. This is an entry level position that requires working rotating shifts and will perform all aspects of entry-level duties for each line of production operations assigned as outlined in the respective training and JSA manuals and performance check sheets.Pay begins at $20.71 /hour - Potential increase up to $23.92/hr after 90 day probationary period.
Required Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & ABILITIES): High School Diploma or GED is required. Two (2) years of manufacturing experience is preferred. Must satisfactorily complete associated training programs and complete associated training requirements for safe operations and maintenance of forklift.PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work an average of 40 hours per week and be able to work rotating shifts - speak clearly so others understand - have vision acuity in close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception - be accepting of criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations - have sensitivity to other's needs with a positive demeanor and model change management for the business. Ability to lift 70 pounds on a continual basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk and hear. Adherence to all company safety policies and precautions while performing assigned tasks at all times when on the premises.
