Site Controller is responsible for planning and managing all day-to-day financial activities with respect to the coordination of budgets and forecast development. The Site Controller is also responsible for directing and controlling all accounting functions at the site level including, financial planning and analysis, reporting, and establishing internal controls. This individual will do reporting that oversees cost accounting and production operation responsibility.

Essential Functions:

Plant Financial Analysis & Reporting -

  • Work with PPL accounting SSC to ensure the reliability of the P&L and balance sheet. At month end, analyze the accounts and prepare the journal entries needed for the SSC
  • Analyze monthly the performance of the site and identify areas of improvement. Follow up the outcome of the action plans identified by the different departments
  • Monitor the level of inventory and working capital monthly and define the corrective actions if needed. Lead annual Physical Inventory across both HF sites
  • Coach, direct and develop direct reports

Budget and Cost Control -

  • Lead annual standard costing activities for the site including working with Engineering to ensure accurate product costing
  • Partner with Site Manager to identify future capital spending projects along with expected ROI and alignment with long range plans
  • Support the different department in their variance analysis and identify low performing products and suggests action plans to Product Management to improve profitability

Internal Controls & Business Compliance -

  • Ensure site departments are in compliance with Internal Controls guidelines and suggest good practices where needed

Capital Assets and World Class Manufacturing -

  • Partner with Site Operations to complete capital spending request to be submitted for approval
  • Audit ROI of approved capital request to validate anticipated performance and justifications for future projects
  • Assist Engineering with identifying and categorizing WCM project savings, as well as identifying areas for future project plans

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 7+ years experience as Controller with strong cost accounting experience required
  • MRP/ERP system (QAD preferred) required
  • High level of technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and willingness to learn SG accounting policies and procedures required
  • CPA/CMA preferred

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $97,900 to $151,800 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $110,627 to $171,534. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
