What's the job?

The Shipper/Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in Vetrotech's logistic operations, being responsible for safely and efficiently loading trucks, verifying shipments, and preparing shipping documentation . This position involves using forklifts and other material handling equipment to load/unload trucks/trailers and to move materials about the facility as necessary. This candidate is responsible for continuous improvement to 5S within the facility, removal of scrap materials from production, staging of inventory, and adhering to established safety regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Updating order status in internal software
  • Staging material for shipment, moving product around the facility as needed
  • Maintaining a clean work area and organized product storage areas
  • General forklift maintenance and reporting maintenance necessities
  • Cover/Support receiving function as necessary
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Required Qualifications

What do you bring?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment required
  • Forklift operations and safety required
  • Using computer to enter data, receive and issue materials
  • Prior manufacturing experience a plus
  • Forklift certification preferred
