Packing Operator

Position Description

Job Summary

Saint-Gobain is currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill a role as a manufacturing operator in our Packing Area. The ideal candidate will have safety as their #1 priority, be mechanically-inclined, and have good communication skills as we work in a team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for packing materials and reporting any issues to their supervisor. Required Qualifications

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work Safely
• Participate in the Saint-Gobain WCM program (Continuous Improvement)
• Load proper finished materials based off packing lists provided by Production Planner
• Perform quality checks to ensure proper labeling to jars, boxes, pallets etc.
• Ensure excess finished good are returned to proper storage area
• Perform weekly checks to maintain proper packaging material inventory
• Operate a forklift to move pallets of raw materials, totes filled with powder, etc
• Will need to operate equipment at elevated heights occasionally (ladders/platforms)
• Pack finished goods to be shipped including strapping and shrink wrapping
• Load/unload trucks as needed
• Maintain work areas and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Description

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED/equivalent required
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred
• Team player
• Strong attention to details
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
• Reliable transportation to/from work
