Position Description
Job Summary
Primary Functions:
Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, maintain industrial equipment as necessary and support production as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment and components for damage and wear utilizing gauges, measuring devices and experience to determine any necessary actions
- Repair, adjust and modify power transmission equipment
- Repair, adjust or replace pumps and supporting equipment
- Fabricate and repair industrial equipment including welding framework for repairs
- Use general shop and hand tools as necessary
- Assist line mechanics and electricians as necessary when needed to support production including all of the above listed tasks and other means of support as needed
- Respond to unexpected after hour call outs for repair and support
- Must be forklift and golf cart certified
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards
- Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams
- Follow all safety training and documents for this site.
- Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed maintenance
- Report any and all quality related issues to the Supervisor
- Work with maintenance in finding issues with the machine(s)
- Meet department's key objectives
- Participate in Company Safety program
- Must understand and follow job specific SOPs
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions.

Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.
- Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
- Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record as a Maintenance Mechanic.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
- Hand-eye coordination.
