In support of this acquisition, Saint-Gobain has an exciting career opportunity for an Inventory Planner at our Alexandria Plant to join our team.

We are presently looking for an inventory planner at our Alexandria Plant.

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Status: Full Time, permanent, On-site

Here's what you'll be responsible for in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Order and maintain sufficient inventory of raw material, packaging, health & safety, office, and cleaning supplies.
  • Order maintenance, IT, and marketing supplies per the request of that departmental stakeholder.
  • Escalate projects to the Purchasing Manager of the site.
  • Keep pricing and part information updated in WTS
  • Create new parts as required in WTS
  • Arrange transfer of material from all three plants with shipping
  • Track/transfer raw material moved between plants
  • Count inventory and enter cycle counts
  • Make arrangements for the return of empty PVC racks, cardboard skids etc... with suppliers
  • Arrange the return of defective merchandise
  • Make arrangements to have glass bin emptied for credit
  • Work with A/P on invoice pricing/quantity issues
  • Advise material handlers what and how many of each profile that need to be reworked (ie.. - add i-cap to profiles) and adjust WTS accordingly
  • Maintain painted lineal inventory. Work with the paint shop to ensure material is available as required to production and make arrangements to ship white material to paint shop and painted material back from the paint shop and adjust inventory accordingly
  • Make arrangements to ship white material from for painting of lineals and make arrangements to ships material to KP Windows once material is ready
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets
  • Attend daily supervisors meeting
  • Other duties as required

Required Qualifications

Here is what's important to have to apply:

  • College diploma in business or purchasing or equivalent years of experience;
  • 2 to 4 years related experience;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Bilingual (French and English);
  • Strong computer skills (particularly in MS Excel);
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Analytical and administrative skills with careful attention to details;
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or any other ERP system, an asset.
