We believe everyone deserves the unconditional love of a pet—and at Rover, our mission is to make it easier to experience that love. Founded in 2011, the Rover app and website connect dog and cat parents with loving pet sitters and dog walkers in neighborhoods across the US, Canada, and Europe. We empower our community of trusted pet sitters and dog walkers to run their own pet care businesses on Rover with the tools and security of a global company to back them.
Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, we work closely with our teams in Barcelona, San Antonio, Spokane, and remote locations. We’ve got a reputation for being a great place to work, having been named among the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Seattle Business Magazine and Washington’s Best Workplaces in the Puget Sound Business Journal. We're an agile, fast-growing company, and our leadership comes from some of the world's most respected tech companies.
At Rover, our furry coworkers are just as important as our human ones—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Along with making the joys of pet parenthood more accessible, we’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming community of pet people—and that starts with our employees.
Who we're looking for:
We are seeking a high-impact Paid Marketing Manager to join our global Growth Marketing team. In this role, you will take the lead on managing sophisticated paid search and social platforms, driving international expansion, and scaling our customer acquisition efforts. We need a strategist who is comfortable "under the hood" of large-scale ad accounts, utilizing automation and AI-driven tools to optimize performance.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven storyteller—someone who can look at a spreadsheet of raw data and extract a clear, actionable growth strategy. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment, possesses a meticulous eye for detail, and is eager to grow your career within a world-class marketing organization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Budget Management: Direct a multi-million dollar annual budget, optimizing paid search and social campaigns to maximize scale while hitting strict efficiency and CAC targets.
- Financial Rigor: Own the monthly billing and accrual process for SEM and assist leadership in forecasting future performance trends.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and vet new partner opportunities while managing existing high-level vendor and platform relationships.
- Global Expansion: Research, launch, and lead international SEM growth strategies across multiple countries, languages, and cultural nuances.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Build and maintain automated reporting dashboards; synthesize complex performance data into intelligent action plans regarding keywords, landing pages, and creative assets.
- Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of digital marketing trends, particularly regarding privacy changes and AI-driven campaign management strategies, to ensure Rover remains a market leader.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Creative, Product, and Web teams to share insights, optimize landing page conversion, and align on brand messaging.
- Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market shifts and competitor tactics, translating findings into proactive campaign adjustments.
Your Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related analytical field.
- Experience: 3+ years (5+ preferred) managing large-scale, high-budget paid search and social accounts (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, etc.).
- Technical Proficiency: Proven track record of automating bidding, scaling keyword coverage, and executing rigorous A/B testing for ads and landing pages.
- Analytical Rigor: Expert-level spreadsheet skills; you are comfortable manipulating large datasets to find the "why" behind the "what."
- AI Savvy: Demonstrated ability to leverage LLMs and AI tools to streamline workflows, generate copy variations, or analyze data.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Based in Barcelona.
Nice to Have:
- SQL Skills: Familiarity with SQL and experience querying data tables to join disparate data sources.
- Agency Management: Experience managing external agencies or specialized vendors.
- Advanced Analytics: Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and other modern web analytics suites.
- Automation: Ability to set up APIs or write scripts (Python, Google Ads Scripts) to automate repetitive tasks and reporting.
