Tax Analyst - International

The Tax team at Riot is dedicated to helping Riot best serve its Players around the world by unlocking our Rioters and maintaining good corporate citizenship in all things tax. - Expanding and making games available globally by making sure we meet domestic and international tax requirements. Our team contains experts from a variety of tax backgrounds with a shared goal of providing Riot leaders with perspective on what makes a good tax decision. Tax can be strategic at Riot, but avoids bureaucratic barriers. The team strives to assist innovation by clearing the path, with integrity, so new experiences can reach our Players. The Tax team sits in 3 regions and each team member brings unique skills to Riot.
Riot Games is looking for a dynamic Tax Professional to join our expanding Tax team. As an International Tax Analyst, reporting to the International Tax Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing tax compliance matters, as well as driving automation within the tax team. You will be hands-on, understand tax operations, and collaborate cross-functionally.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of annual tax provision, monthly closes, tax compliance, indirect taxes, and other federal, state, and international reporting as applicable.
- Support the international tax team with transfer pricing reporting and documentation processes, as well as with other special projects such as memos, tax planning, and intercompany allocations.
- Research, document, and understand new tax legislation and related impact to Riot with the support of the International Tax Manager.
- Support any information requests and tax controversy analysis in collaboration with the International Tax Manager.
- Collaborate with groups in legal, accounting, finance, purchasing, esports, R&D, et. al. on a variety of recurring and nonrecurring projects.
- Identify areas for automation and process improvement in addition to documenting existing processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or other related field.
- 2 years of tax experience in a public and/or corporate accounting environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfort in analyzing large volumes of data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, great attention to detail, and ability to complete projects with less oversight.
- Strong time management skills, organizational skills, and ability to navigate competing priorities.
- Self-starter with the initiative to solve problems on their own, with a desire to learn and approach problems analytically.
- Take the initiative to learn about the company's business and industry.

- Knowledge of international tax, and/or transfer pricing is a plus.
- Experience with depreciation preferred.
- Proactive team player and able to succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Database and/or data automation skills are a plus.
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and choices that focus on your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!
