Job Summary
As the Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead our most complex, high-impact broadcast technology programs for global esports. You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of major events, from planning and design through execution. You will leverage your deep subject matter expertise to implement and scale our broadcast technologies, contributing to the long-term global roadmap. You will lead and manage a dedicated team of vendor provided broadcast tech managers, vendor provided broadcast engineers, vendor utility contractors and overall technical vendors to ensure flawless execution of your programs. This role is accountable for the operational excellence, innovation, and technical success of all assigned events.
Responsibilities:
- Program & Technical Leadership: Lead the end-to-end technical execution of our largest, most complex broadcast programs (e.g., Valorant Champions, League of Legends World Championship).
- Contribution to Strategy: Partner with the Principal TPM to contribute to the multi-year technical roadmap by providing data-driven insights. Implement the global asset strategy for your events, determining the optimal mix of rented vs. owned equipment to meet event goals.
- Contractor Team Management: Lead and manage the event-specific broadcast tech manager, utility contractor and vendor teams. Handle resource planning, task assignment, and performance management for your events, ensuring adherence to global standards.
- Vendor & Project Management: Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and delivery for your assigned events. Contribute to SOW creation and manage the event-level budget, ensuring events are delivered on time and on budget.
- Operational Excellence: Serve as the direct point of accountability for the technical health and success of your events. Champion and implement broadcast technology excellence, monitoring, and continuous improvement within Esports Production Management.
- Technology & Process Improvement: Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies within your projects. Recommend new solutions and process improvements based on project outcomes. Partner with Esports Event Technology (EET) on integration for broadcast engineering, systems, networking, and broadcast design.
- Mentorship & Stakeholder Management: Act as a technical mentor for tech managers and contractor and vendor leads. Communicate project status, risks, and milestones effectively to all event stakeholders and management.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in broadcast operations, technical production, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience leading complex technical projects or large-scale broadcast events.
- Experience managing project-specific contractor or vendor teams.
- Experience managing and tracking complex project budgets.
- Strong knowledge of large-scale broadcast systems, project management, and live production logistics.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, large-scale technical projects from end-to-end.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
