Senior Manager, Game Product Manager - Wild Rift

3+ months ago Shanghai, China

Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played video game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

As a Senior Manager, Games Product Management at Riot, you will lead a team of game product managers. You will combine deep knowledge of players and systems with product leadership capabilities to drive player, product and business impact. As the Games PM for Wild Rift, you will work with internal development teams and external partners to deliver high quality log-in moments, content and features to enhance player's experience in Wild Rift. You will partner with designers, production, creative and other team members to create and iterate on content and features from prototype to post-ship validation to maximize our business and player outcomes without compromising on what makes our games world-class in terms of fun, engagement, and player-focused. You will build and maintain workflows, articulate the WHYs, align with stakeholders, and manage multifarious communication channels across multiple organizations to bring your visions to life. You will report to the Product Lead on Wild Rift.

We’re looking for a leader who thrives on optimizing product development for learning and deeply understands our player audience—their frustrations, motivations, and aspirations—so we can continuously improve how we serve them.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of player needs and behaviors to define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Moments and Gameplay Workstreams, achieving both player and business impact.
  • Translate product strategy into actionable plans and execution frameworks—setting clear goals, success metrics, and delivery milestones to ensure strategy is realized in live player experiences
  • Build and manage a high-performing team to drive player growth by developing core gameplay capabilities, including Summoner’s Rift and Rotating Game Modes.
  • Orchestrate across product owners and workstreams to deliver cohesive player high-impact login moments and engagement beats that maximize impact.
  • Partner with design, creative, production, insights, and publishing to create impactful features, fostering a learning-centric culture that reduces risk and improves decision-making over time.
  • Coach and mentor other Game PMs to strengthen product craft, decision-making, and player empathy across the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in product management or game design, with a focus on player systems or gameplays
  • 3+ years managing or mentoring other PMs
  • A track record of launching features that drive real player and business impact
  • Experience in creating impactful gameplay features, including Summoner’s Rift, Rotating Game Mode, etc., covering ideation, scoping, design and execution
  • Competitive multiplayer familiarity. Familiar with mobile MOBA games, including League of Legends: Wild Rift and other popular PVP games in China
  • A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and comfort navigating across teams
  • Fluency in Mandarin and written English
