Job Summary

Ensures accuracy and completion of damage claims. Reviews company records to determine coverage.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Drives accuracy of claims status and reporting
  • Reduces closing ratio and ensures quality handling of claims
  • Audits and maintains claim databases through audit and quality checks

  • Monitors claim status - keys check requests, follow-up with branches and contractors when required forms are missing
  • Follows-up with branches on claims and gets status of repairs or closes claim, if possible
  • Posts monthly claims handling charges in claim transactions as needed
  • Adds new contractors to Repair Network and JDE vendor system when applications are
  • received and forwards welcome email with contractor website guide to new contractors
  • Assists branches and contractors with payment status and claim status
  • Assists in gathering customer file documents from branch and uploading into Claims Xpress

CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Required Experience:

  • Must possess basic to intermediate knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft office, e-mail and internet
  • Strong knowledge of general office practices and equipment
  • Demonstrated continual attention to detail and sound judgement
  • Knowledge of professional phone etiquette and the ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal employees and external customers
  • Capability of dealing with various personality types at all levels of the organization/department

Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics:

  • Ability to build key relationships
  • Detailed oriented
  • Data based decision making skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Requires a demonstrated proficiency in clerical and administrative functions

Base Pay Range $42,800 - $62,100 / year

While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential function to this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm's reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
