Overview

The Category Solutions Lead holds a central and critical position within our company's largest sector, with the primary responsibility for driving year-over-year growth across the Pest line of business. Annually, this role involves planning and coordinating all necessary activities to ensure the successful execution of our growth strategy. Success requires close collaboration with field leaders and all corporate departments-including marketing, pricing, and sales-to align key stakeholders and execute plans that empower our field teams to achieve success.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Calendar Design & Alignment

  • Market-Specific Planning: Set the master calendar for each market, cut by product, ensuring that our plans take maximum advantage of the local context of our customers.
  • Strategic Enablement: Ensure all "in-year" calendars align with the multi-year strategic intent and the category's long-term vision.
  • Future Planning: Provide critical data and structural support for the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Execution & Delivery Management

  • End-to-End Planning: Set the plan for the year, making absolutely clear who needs to do what and when in order for us to hit our growth targets. Ensure plans have the appropriate level of rigor and detail.
  • End-to-End Delivery: Drive the delivery of the calendar from ideation to market-level execution, ensuring all milestones are met on time. Leave nothing to chance.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Align key stakeholders across Field, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, clarifying their specific roles in executing the calendar.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and monitor adherence to the plan. Identify variances early and implement corrective actions to keep the business on track.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify and manage problems, escalating early.

Relationships & Communication

  • Field-First Mindset: Own the primary relationship with the field teams, serving as their advocate and their main point of contact for calendar-related issues. Ensure that plans enable them to succeed.
  • Cross-Cutting Partnerships: Build trusted and effective relationships across the full suite of corporate partners needed to deliver. Make us a single unified team focused on success.
