Jr. Solutions Engineer Intern

Job Summary:

Rakuten Advertising's Solutions Engineers provide primarily pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex advertising products/applications/solutions, use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. They assist the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. As a Junior Solutions Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting Rakuten Advertising's technical initiatives for high-profile affiliate marketing clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop prototype dataflows, pipelines, and ETLs to improve advertising product offerings for both current and prospective clients
• Develop methodologies utilizing external data sources such as SimilarWeb to enhance technical audit profiles and recommendations for client and prospect engagements
• Support sales teams in strategic deals, request for proposals (RFPs), sales material preparation, and essential documentation
• Contribute to the prototyping of advertising solutions and building product demo environments.
• Support in creating detailed design and implementation specifications for affiliate marketing product solutions and integrations

• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding of their customer-relevant applications

• Understanding of RESTful APIs, SDKs, ETL workflows, data tools, and third-party marketing integrations
• Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative approach to problem solving

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $30- $35 per hour. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
