Regional Sales Manager
Overview
Rain Bird, a global leader in irrigation solutions, is seeking a high-performing sales leader to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager, Golf. This role has significant international exposure and is responsible for driving Golf sales and market share growth across France, Iberica, Italy, Turkey, Eastern Europe South, North Africa, and Central Asia.
Our European Golf sales team is focused on delivering solution-based sales, offering customized irrigation solutions to golf course owners, directors, and managers.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed ambitious sales and market share targets.
- Provide leadership and development to the South Europe golf sales team dispersed in the region.
- Support the development of market strategy and tactical plans, while managing or directly executing to align with corporate objectives.
- Develop the distribution and route to market networks, including management of key partners.
- Identify business development opportunities and handle some significant projects directly.
- Foster long-term relationships with key golf course customers and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, customer trends, market analysis, pricing dynamics and competition.
- Collaborate effectively with all sales, service and operations teams to meet objectives.

The role is to be based in France, with the total travel 50%-70% of your time, visiting clients and partners. Occasional travel outside the region also required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of international sales management and specification experience with a proven track record of achieving sales goals and demonstrating strong progressive responsibility including leadership.
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or a technical discipline.
- Fluent business level proficiency in English and French.
- Supervisory experience.
- Ability to achieve results individually and through team leadership and a route to market network.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and influencing skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- An advanced degree, MBA or similar.
- Proficiency in Spanish, Italian and/or other European languages
