Material Handler II

Overview

This position will act as Warehouse Clerk for the Rain Bird Service Center. This candidate will be responsible for fulfillment of service part orders and preserving the integrity of material programs and processes. Good housekeeping and safety are of utmost importance.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customer orders by picking, packing and shipping irrigation service parts and kits.
• Move material within the warehouse or storage facility to and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, or other materials handling equipment
• Move material from the warehouse to the production and repair areas and make transactions on the system to preserve inventory accuracy
• Receive material from suppliers and checks against packing lists; communicate any discrepancies in quality, contents, or quantity with the Service Manager
• Conduct cycle counts and make packing lists of shipments; communicate any discrepancies to the Service Manager

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience required for this position
• Knowledge and experience in 5S process standards
• Proven success in environments where attention to detail and organizational skills are required
• Demonstrates structured approach to problem solving and adherence to operating procedures
• Team oriented

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with lean manufacturing process standards; six sigma, etc
• CPIM desired but not required
• Ability to develop, document, and execute repetitive business practices
• Bilingual English/Spanish
