Machine Operator I

Overview

The Machine Operator I position is an experienced machine operator responsible for supporting the achievement of daily production goals. This role reports daily production results to the Production Supervisor while ensuring the quality of all parts meets established standards. The Machine Operator I follows 5S procedures and safety standards, including performing routine safety audits. This position also ensures compliance with all safety requirements and maintains proper housekeeping within assigned work areas. Candidates must possess a working knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety practices, and the proper use of personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned production equipment in accordance with established procedures
• Support daily production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Accurately records daily machine production data
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements found in machine JHA’s (Job Hazard Analysis)
• Maintain clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles
• Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement activities
• Identify and report equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns to shift supervision

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Proven skills to start up and run automated assembly machines
• Basic computer knowledge
• Enthusiastic and self-starter
• Excellent team player

 DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Basic knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
• Lean Six Sigma certifications
• Flexibility and have a can-do attitude
• Technical degree or equivalent
