The Opportunity

As a Digital Assurance & Transparency (DAT) Data Intern, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will support teams in delivering data-driven solutions. You will be involved in projects that focus on data analysis, solution development, and business process improvement, contributing to the assurance of data integrity and transparency for our clients. As an Intern, you will gain exposure to PwC's practices, supporting teams with basic tasks and participating in projects to enhance your learning experience. This role emphasizes developing your skills in data analytics and technology solutions, while observing and contributing to the success of the team.

Responsibilities

- Supporting audit and assurance teams by assisting in data analysis and visualization tasks
- Participating in the development of data-driven solutions using tools like Alteryx and Microsoft Power BI
- Engaging in business process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
- Assisting in the preparation and execution of financial risk analysis and auditing procedures
- Collaborating with team members to gather and organize data for analysis and reporting
- Learning and applying programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and R for data manipulation and solution development
- Observing and contributing to client support activities within the assurance sector
- Developing an understanding of accounting methods and financial systems to support audit processes
- Utilizing SQL Server Data Tools for database management and data wrangling tasks
- Engaging in continuous learning to gain exposure to PwC practices and methodologies

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in at least one of the following field(s) of study: Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Information Technology, Business Administration/Management, or Computer Programming
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school

What Sets You Apart

- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment or the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA
- Demonstrating proficiency in Python and R programming languages
- Utilizing Alteryx for data automation and analysis
- Applying data visualization skills with Microsoft Power BI

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
