Your Team & Role:
As a Vice President, Solution Architect Engineer in Japan Technology Platforms organization, you will partner with enterprise technology service providers across Chief Technology Office, Information Security, senior business and technology leadership across US and Japan to oversee rollout of Foundational Technology Capabilities. You will work with Development and Infrastructure teams across Prudential to coordinate roll-out of a unified Identity and Access Management platform integrated with all applications, oversee the Risk Remediation and other efforts to improve the reliability and resilience of the environment, support API management frameworks and integration with existing and future applications, and assist in setting up an architecture and process for future business capabilities As a technical expert, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
- Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization
- Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business
- Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
- Ability to translate and communicate sophisticated technical solutions and emerging industry trends in understandable terms to a broad range of audiences
- Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills
Significant experience and/or deep expertise with the following:
- User Authentication and authorization technologies in complex multi-national multi-domain regulated environments
- Full Stack application development
- Modern CI/CD practices including automated code quality and unit testing tooling
- Modern secure API management tooling and frameworks
- Proven track record of delivering technological solutions in international markets, balancing local needs and flexibility with global capabilities

Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
- Experience with Claude Code or similar Agentic development tools
- Prior experience supporting technology for users in Japan
What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $221,900.00 to $333,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
