Prudential is seeking a Vice President, Global Security as part of their Global Security team, who will be based out of Newark, NJ. The successful candidate will assist the Chief Security Officer with the identification, development, implementation and management of the organization's global security strategies and programs. Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, this role leads a broad team of physical security professionals. This leader will directly oversee the physical security operations, incident and event security management, and executive security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and direct an effective strategy to assess and mitigate global security related risks, manage crises and incidents, and safeguard the organization.
  • Lead the team in identifying, implementing, and maintaining industry leading security processes, practices, and policies across the organization.
  • Identify, deploy, and manage the latest security technology solutions to safeguard the organization's assets.
  • Lead the coordination and implementation of site security operations, and activities to ensure the protections of employees, non-employees, visitors, while ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment.
  • Evaluate and manage service provider relationships; approve contracts and hold vendors accountable for service level agreements.
  • Effectively manage workplace threat management and response analytics to resolve issues and mitigate life safety risk, reputational risk, and brand impact.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization and work cross-functionally to identify and address program opportunities to further the organizational goals. Regularly report trends, status, and initiatives to executive leadership teams.
  • Consult with Federal, State, and local government agencies while maintain a sound network of professionals and leaders in the industry

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 15+ years of global experience in corporate security or related public sector organization.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Corporate or government experience in senior level Global Security role.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage the functional capital of an executive position and manage an expense budget.
  • Demonstrated experience and exposure in the international security profession dealing with multi-national security related issues.
  • High-quality analytical skills, leadership, and relationship management competencies to navigate successfully within and beyond the organization
