Your Team
As a Specialist, Program Management within the Global Technology Value Management Office (GTVMO), you will be a valuable member of the Strategy & Portfolio Management team and help mature and develop agile portfolio management and governance. The candidate brings a level of professionalism and leadership needed to assist with executing our vision through improved collaboration and planning across portfolio, engaging roadmap creation, more advanced ways to communicate our plans and progress with the senior stakeholder.

The Specialist Program Management will aid in the progression of output and develop a streamlined approach that helps grow the awareness and practices for strategy and portfolio management support. In addition, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.
This position will be hybrid out of Newark, NJ.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
- Understand program goals and contribute building components, process and sequence.
- Analyze data to develop accurate reports and summaries.
- Assists in developing professional and polished artifacts (roadmaps, portfolio updates etc.) to engage our stakeholders.
- Support in organizing and running scaled agile events - quarterly portfolio planning and monthly portfolio review events.
- Understand the program goals and contribute building components and processes.
- Work under the direction of the Value Management Office Leadership to contribute ideas to help resolve gaps in the process or products.
- Ensure documentation and reports are complete, with focus on the message to be delivered and attention to detail.
- Schedule activities and coordinate communication meetings with internal team.
- Analyze data to develop accurate reports and summaries.
- Help with the development of new procedures and policies to streamline processes.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
- Bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience with project or program management is crucial.
- Ability to lead independently with minimal guidance and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business.
- Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
- Excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills.
Applied experience with several of the following:
- Proven understanding of a business line or functional area.
- Problem Solving - deep knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving interpersonal, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Effective Communications - Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking - Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail - Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Producing Results - Understanding of the criticality of getting things done in spite of current circumstances and the ability to apply assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.
It would be a plus if you had:
- Computer Science or Engineering or experience background.
- Enterprise Portfolio Management & Governance experience.
- Lean Portfolio Management experience preferred.
- Jira Align experience preferred.
- Familiarity with a Technology organization

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $82,500.00 to $136,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
