The Business Analyst is a versatile role that serves as a key representative for Group Insurance administration in the development of process & technology solutions. You will support the design, shape, and execute initiatives by analyzing existing processes and systems, helping to assist the teams to build tools that are constituent-focused while also ensuring practicality within existing business rules.
This role works closely with IT, product owners, and business partners, to support the agile development process and functional business initiatives.
Deep subject matter expertise of GI service functions is required for the role with primary focus on Group Universal/Variable Life Products. The incumbent will participate in business processing within GI service to strengthen and maintain this knowledge.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid or Fully Virtual. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office.

What you can expect:
• Serves as a subject matter expert representing business leaders and operations in the design, implementation of projects, and process improvement initiatives spanning across Customer and Operational Solutions team.
• Provides project management support. This includes creating project charters, project plans, ensuring deliverables and dependencies are identified, addressing impediments, monitoring progress, and managing dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Identifies end user's needs and strategies to define business technology and process requirements.
• Supports the business with documentation such as materials to communicate to the team and SOPs.
• Owns the documentation of business requirement documents for new client onboarding and plan maintenance ensure system accuracy.
• Coordinates and participates in user acceptance testing for technology releases.
• Conducts process mapping and root cause analysis, identifying key pain points/opportunities and mapping out desired future state outcomes.
• Participate in learning activities to continuously expand business process knowledge. This may include rotational business processing assignments.
• Partners with business leaders to prepare and presents business cases leveraging data analytics and customer insights.
• Shares insights and progress to promote a customer-centric culture and connect the dots across experiences to inform the broader organization.
• Assists with driving change management across the service organization.
• Participates in the creation of procedures and training.
What you'll need:
• Subject matter expertise in two or more GI's operation functions (Onboarding, Billing, Medical Underwriting, Customer Data Management, Record Keeping Services & the Customer Excellence Team)
• Leads with a process ownership mentality.
• Project management experience, with the ability to manage complex initiatives.
• Experience leveraging data to drive business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to implement process changes that span multiple functions.
• Outstanding problem solving, analytical, decision making, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a matrix/nonhierarchical environment, embracing an agile mentality to evolve with the business.
• Excellent work ethic and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, leadership, other departments, and vendors.
• Intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn, grow, and improve.
• Project management certification or six sigma experience is a plus, but not required.
• Travel required (approx. 10%)

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $89,000.00 to $147,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
