What you will do
PGIM Real Estate's Agency team is seeking an Associate to assist in navigating individual debt financing opportunities through the loan sizing, pricing and application process. The Senior Associate provides support to the Loan Officer(s) and Deal Manager(s) in reviewing, structuring, and pricing new acquisitions or refinances. S/he will have strong knowledge of real estate property fundamentals, agency lending requirements, processes and forms for sizing and pricing transactions and will serve as a mentor and participate in training of new analysts. The Associate position will be located in Arlington, Virginia with consideration for other PGIM Agency offices. Chicago, Dallas or Newark are locations that would also be considered.
What you can expect
- Provide support to loan origination staff in all aspects of the Agency loan origination process, including analysis, underwriting, structuring, pricing.
- Interact with existing and prospective borrowers, intermediaries, industry peers and legal community.
- Possess and apply knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guides, policies and procedures.
- Prepare, review and recommend quality quote requests within 24 - 48 hours of screening both independently and with support from Analysts.
- Assess issues and provide recommendations on intelligent risk solutions aligned with PGIM and Agency program requirements and guidelines.
- Coordinate between originations, assigned Deal Manager(s), underwriting and the Agencies when structuring issues arise at origination.
- Review Agency response letters for accuracy.
- Prepare and/or review Loan Applications for signature.
- Responsible for handoff from Origination to Underwriting for assigned transactions.
- Assist loan originations staff and borrowers with asset management issues, as needed.
- Assist in managing analytical staff assignments to assure timing expectations are met and accuracy of information.
- Mentoring and training of Origination Analysts required.
- Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment; prioritizing work ito meet deadlines and managing other projects and duties, assigned and deemed appropriate from the manager

What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree a plus but not required.
- 3+ years of experience in multifamily underwriting, structuring and/or pricing transactions
- Knowledge of affordable housing a plus
- Solid product knowledge of Agency financing
- Strong technical underwriting/analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking skills are essential, with the ability to make timely decisions, when appropriate.
- A leader and team player - must work well in a multi-functional collaborative environment and demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
- Desire and ability to train, mentor and motivate team members
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required
- Ability to travel as needed

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $100,000 to $120,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
