The Global Technology Value Management Office (GTVMO) is seeking a detail-oriented individual for as a Strategy & Portfolio Manager to help mature and develop agile portfolio management and governance. The candidate brings a level of professionalism and leadership needed to assist with our executing our vision through improved collaboration and planning across portfolio, engaging roadmap creation, more advanced ways to communicate our plans and progress with the senior stakeholders.
The Portfolio Manager work with Global Technology teams to aid in the progression of output and develop a streamlined approach that helps grow the awareness and practices for strategy and portfolio management support.

Serve as lead for managing the GT&O portfolio activities and governance:
• Ensure alignment of planned portfolio deliverables to strategies
• Develop method(s) to capture and report on value/outcomes being delivered via GT&O initiatives
• Coordinate with GT&O stakeholders to capture initiative deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues to achieve documented and committed goals and outcomes
• Perform analysis on portfolio related data and metrics and work with initiative SMEs to ensure data accuracy
• Support innovation through process improvements and challenging the status quo. Implement change to improve efficiencies/transformation via new technologies or process improvement
• Organize Big Room planning sessions bringing together key stakeholders to strategize on effectively delivering work plans across the organization
• Prepare communications/documentation related to GT&O portfolio activities and processes
• Train initiative SMEs on GT&O portfolio processes and resulting reports needed to provide transparency to effectively monitor and manage execution on deliverables and timing
• Takes direction with minimal guidance to help manage cross team execution of the portfolio deliverables / outcomes
What you'll need:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years relevant work experience)
• Demonstrated ability to understand business partner and team needs; ability to solve complex challenges and identify solutions
• Demonstrated relationship management skills - ability to grow productive, trusting relationships with sponsors, key stakeholders and project team(s) and easily establish your role as a leader on new initiatives, mentor to junior associates
• Ability to influence project stakeholders without direct authority to achieve successful integration and desired outcomes
• Ability to thrive in ambiguously defined environments and to absorb knowledge quickly; fostering an environment of continuous improvement and high adaptability to change
• Strong communication skills, able to tailor communication style to effectively meet the needs of audience at all levels of the organization
• Champion of tech-forward approach, influences the adoption of Pru technologies
• 2+ years' Portfolio Management & Governance experience
• Lean Portfolio Management experience preferred
• Jira Align experience preferred
This position is hybrid with expectations of in-office collaboration at least three days a week. Additional in-office time may be required based on project assignments and team collaboration needs. While this position is based in Newark, travel may be required at times.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $114,500.00 to $188,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
