Your Team & Role
As a KM Writer on the Service, Support, and Solutions Knowledge Management Team, you will partner with business subject matter experts, content owners, and cross functional teams to create, structure, and maintain high quality content in PruLibrary, a centralized knowledge repository used across the US Businesses. Your work directly impacts how our employees discover, learn, and perform, by transforming complex processes and operational knowledge into clear, accurate, and easy to consume content. You will bring strong writing expertise, outstanding organization, a process improvement mindset, and a passion for knowledge quality and governance.

Create and update PruLibrary content

  • Write, revise, and format content such as SOPs, job aids, FAQs, workflows, procedures, and other knowledge assets.
  • Ensure alignment with the KM Framework, organizational standards, and naming conventions.
  • Apply clear, concise, and audience appropriate writing and formatting.

Partner with SMEs and business teams

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to extract, clarify, and validate knowledge.
  • Document tacit and explicit knowledge in standardized formats.

Manage and maintain content in PruLibrary

  • Add, revise, delete, and restructure content while following taxonomy and metadata best practices.
  • Submit, manage, and track Content Approval Workflows and KM Tracker requests.
  • Maintain document histories and support archival processes.

Perform content research & analysis

  • Conduct searches for internal and external information related to processes, regulatory practices, and industry standards.
  • Review content for clarity, completeness, and consistency.

Promote knowledge adoption

  • Support KM education by helping associates learn how to use the KM Framework, templates, and tools.
  • Assist with facilitation of knowledge sharing sessions, workshops, or Train the Trainer activities.

Champion content governance & quality

  • Ensure content accuracy, version integrity, and alignment to governance requirements.
  • Demonstrate a process improvement mindset when identifying content gaps or inefficiencies.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of procedure writing or technical writing experience.
  • 3-5 years of Knowledge Management or content governance experience (preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, including grammar, clarity, and plain language communication.
  • Strong ability to organize complex information into accurate, concise, and usable content.
  • Experience collaborating with SMEs, compliance, legal, and cross functional business partners.
  • Understanding of knowledge management principles, taxonomy, metadata, and content lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint / PruLibrary or other digital knowledge repositories.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting business needs.
  • Project coordination experience is a plus.
  • Technical Writer certification preferred.
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $70,300.00 to $116,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
