Prudential's Group Insurance division delivers a full suite of group insurance products in the U.S., including group life, long-term and short-term disability, supplemental health, and specialized coverages for institutional clients. Our offerings support employee and membership benefit plans, and we provide comprehensive administrative services for these coverages. As we undergo a strategic transformation focused on expanding our product portfolio and achieving sustainable growth, we are seeking a Disability Product Manager with preferably a proven expertise in Long Term Disability (LTD).
The Disability Product Manager will play a key role within our Product team, reporting to the Director of Disability. This position is responsible for the end-to-end management and development of Prudential's Disability products. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with fellow Product Managers and Directors to optimize product performance and drive business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of product plans for Disability, ensuring relevance in a dynamic market.
- Manage the full lifecycle of disability products, including regular performance analysis and adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Oversee daily product management tasks, such as updating marketing materials, policy documents and system records.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to support distribution teams and brokers with product inquiries and training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including pricing, claims, underwriting, training, and distribution-to ensure disability products remain profitable and compliant.
- Drive process improvements and innovative product solutions to enhance the customer experience.
- Utilize standard contract provisions and templates to draft new product contracts, policy riders, and related documentation.
- Monitor the regulatory environment, assess impacts, and implement changes as required.
- Handle escalations and manage updates to product Q&A databases and enhancement trackers.
Leadership, Experience & Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience in Disability product management or development, preferably LTD.
- Strategic thinker with strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
- Highly collaborative, with a proven ability to build effective relationships at all organizational levels.
- Initiative-taker who proactively identifies challenges and develops solutions.
- Results-oriented, motivated to achieve ambitious objectives.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.

What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $128,100.00 to $190,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
