As a Senior IS Epic Applications Analyst on the Cadence team at Providence, you'll be the trusted expert driving innovative solutions for complex business challenges. In this role, you'll leverage deep technical knowledge and analytical skills to advise leadership, define user requirements, and translate business needs into optimized system designs. What You'll Do:

  • Uses in-depth information and analysis to provide management with advice and counsel on a variety of business issues. Issues are often highly technical and complex in nature.
  • Define and translate user requirements for complex systems, educating customers on functionality and limitations while driving optimal application utilization. Develop clear, concise documentation to support adoption and efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to support and develop business solutions. Use professional knowledge, judgment, and analysis in making decisions or recommending a course of action that meets business needs, in addition to assisting others in decision-making activities
  • Demonstrate service excellence and relationship-building, fostering trust and collaboration with patients, families, employees, managers, medical staff, volunteers, and community partners to maximize productivity and engagement
  • Apply technical standards and advanced methodologies to solve highly complex problems, while coaching and developing team members in tools, techniques, and analytical skills
  • Design and refine workflows in partnership with stakeholders, ensuring seamless processes and operational efficiency
  • Lead high-performing project teams, driving initiatives from concept to completion with precision and accountability
  • Analyze and synthesize data to evaluate multiple solutions, delivering insights that inform strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with peers to create and maintain team-specific documentation and lead efforts to improve documentation standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot issues, and guide root cause analysis for application failures, ensuring business continuity
  • Translate business needs into system design, configuration, and workflow validations that optimize performance and compliance
  • Develop and execute complex test plans, coordinating efforts across teams to ensure quality and reliability
  • Serve as a trusted resource during testing and upgrades, facilitating smooth transitions and minimizing disruptions
  • Align individual goals with organizational priorities, driving quality, budget adherence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance
  • Plan and manage system downtime, change management, maintenance, and upgrades with precision and minimal impact
  • Perform capacity planning and vendor management, ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10% and participate in rotational on-call responsibilities to support critical operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Within 90 days of hire date: Epic Certification
  • 4 or more years of epic certification with build experience
  • 7 or more years of build analyst experience in Epic and / or equivalent healthcare software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Upon Hire: Certifications in software applications, technology infrastructure, or clinical specializations
  • Epic Knowledge - Experience with building and supporting facility structure, referrals, hello world, and cheers
  • Epic Cadence Certification
  • Epic Prelude Certification
  • Systems Analysis & Design - Expert at transforming business needs into smart system configurations, validating workflows, and driving seamless functionality
  • Application Expertise - Deep understanding of complex applications, their capabilities, and limitations to maximize performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis - Skilled at diagnosing issues, resolving application failures, and ensuring uninterrupted operations
  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation - Ability to uncover patterns, evaluate multiple approaches, and deliver actionable insights for optimal solutions
  • Complex Problem Solving - Applying industry standards and advanced concepts to tackle highly technical challenges with precision
  • Workflow Documentation - Creating clear, standardized documentation that enhances usability and supports operational excellence
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Building strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, customers, and community partners to achieve shared goals
  • Customer Education - Translating technical functionality into clear, approachable guidance that empowers users
  • Service Excellence - Demonstrating professionalism and fostering positive interactions to strengthen trust and collaboration
  • Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship - Guiding less experienced staff in tools, techniques, and analytical best practices to elevate team performance
