Seasonal Tax Preparer
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasonal Tax Preparer to join our Elk Grove Village, Evanston, McHenry, or Tinley Park office location. This is a part-time position with variable hours based on business needs; the position is a tax season only position requiring a commitment from mid-January to mid-April.
This position requires a high-energy, experienced tax professional with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Prepare individual, business, and trust income tax returns
Perform tax research where appropriate
Perform all work in compliance with the firm's policies and procedures
Maintain technical tax skills through continuing professional education, on the job training and participation in internal tax training sessions

Communicate directly with client when appropriate
Be comfortable with face-to-face preparation for 1040 clients
Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Desired Skills & Experience:
3+ years of experience in individual income tax preparation
Strong understanding of the tax preparation services
Strong analytical skills to enable effective decision-making
Ability to grasp concepts quickly and demonstrate knowledge of basic technical skills, as well as related knowledge of necessary systems and procedures
Excellent client service orientation with an ability to handle pressure in a positive, professional manner
Effective listening skills
Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
