Experienced Accountant - Emphasis in Tax
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an Experienced Accountant with major emphasis in Tax for our service areas based out of our Elk Grove Village, Illinois office or our Evanston, Illinois office.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist partners and managers in consulting with closely held businesses and individual clients on financial and tax planning matters
Prepare and review tax returns, including consolidated or multi-state business returns, complex pass-through entities and complex individuals
Identify and research tax planning and compliance issues
Monthly/Quarterly accounting at client locations
Coach and mentor junior level staff
Demonstrate an interest in practice development
Additional Information:
Type: Full-time
Experience: Mid-Senior Level
Requirements/Desired Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of current Public Accounting Experience
BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or EA certification
MST (or willingness to obtain) preferred
Trust, estate and international, a plus
Proficiency with computerized tax software, MS office, working QuickBooks knowledge
Strong client rapport and project management skills
Strong communication (verbal & written) skills with the emphasis on ability to articulate complex tax and financial information to all levels of clients
