As a Strategic Communications & Brand Measurement Officer within PNC's Communications organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Strategic Communications Leader who combines high-level storytelling and communications knowledge with a rigorous, data-driven approach to decision-making. This role is responsible for outcome driven intel that guides how our brand shows up in the world-in earned media, digital platforms, and with key stakeholder audiences-while grounding every strategy in robust analytics and measurement frameworks.
The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, communicator, and data translator: someone who understands how to unlock insights from research and analytics, turn them into compelling narrative direction, and guide an integrated communications and brand (MarCom) function to deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning
• Lead the development of enterprise-wide communications strategies that strengthen brand reputation, support business objectives, and drive measurable outcomes.
• Work with peer MarCom leaders to advise executive leadership on communications opportunities and risks using insights from media intelligence, audience analytics, and brand performance metrics.
• Connect communications and brand strategy with broader marketing, brand, and corporate initiatives to ensure alignment and consistency.
• Create process for ongoing measurement of media and brand impact across the enterprise footprint, with consistent output of scorecards reflecting ROI.

Data, Analytics & Measurement

• Build and oversee a comprehensive communications measurement framework that includes media analytics, audience insights, brand tracking, digital performance, and sentiment analysis.
• Partner with COO, research, and analytics teams to interpret data and extract actionable insights.
• Translate complex analytics into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leadership, finance partners in service of informing budget process, and key stakeholders including board of directors.
• Drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making and post-campaign performance reviews.
Media & Brand Communications
• Provide input into proactive and reactive media strategies grounded in trend analysis, competitive intelligence, and message testing.
• Ensure all media, executive visibility, thought leadership, and brand storytelling efforts are backed by audience insights and impact measurement.
• Develop narratives that articulate the company's value, purpose, and differentiation in the marketplace.
• Working across Marketing, Regional Communications, and Media team, develop strategy for Community narratives and impact.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with marketing, brand, digital, research, and business unit leaders to integrate communications insights across the organization.

• Serve as the MarCom function's subject-matter expert on media analytics, communications and brand measurement, and reputation intelligence.

Job Description

  • Serves as the primary advisor on the development and execution of communications strategies in support of strategic priorities for the function and PNC.
  • Oversees the implementation of strategic initiatives and communications, including relationships with business leaders, research, content development and measurement.
  • Helps resolve issues, while establishing a relationship as a trusted advisor to business leaders on communications strategies and business initiatives. Establishes supporting relationships across business lines and support areas to ensure a collaborative business support strategy.
  • Leverages data-driven insights to provide consultation to business leadership, influencing outcomes and decisions to best support the business strategy.
  • Serves as a mentor to the teams, providing coaching, assisting in developing key competencies in team members. Implements and oversees activities including coordination with legal, compliance, finance, risk and other key partners. Leads partnership with agencies, third parties and internal business partners to coordinate development and execution of programs/initiatives.
