The primary function of the Analyst/Engineer, Markets Automation and Quality Assurance is to build and maintain tools that support Market Operations and identify and automate manual processes to promote compliance, save operator time and minimize human performance errors.Essential Functions:
- Adapt Market Tools to meet changing requirements of business owners and comply with FERC regulations and update supporting documentation.
- Understand the technological requests and needs (hardware and software) of the Market Design and Market Operations departments as process improvements are developed and new markets changes are designed and implemented.
- Design and automate processes to support Market Operations with minimal operational noise and minimize human performance related errors
- Partner with ITS and appropriate parties to coordinate efforts and ultimately provide a solution which is best for PJM
- Research, review and evaluate emerging technologies on behalf of Market automation
- Act as a project lead and work with project managers to ensure advancement of automation occurs
- Build and nurture relationships with industry peers and other external industry influencers to keep abreast of technical innovations and their potential benefits.
Characteristics and Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology or 0-5 years of equivalent experience
- 0-5 years of experience Programming skills : .NET, C#, PL/SQL, Windows Presentation Framework (WPF), Python, experience with Object oriented design
- Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support
- Preferred
- Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
