Overview
PepsiCo's Product Delivery team, as part of the Digital Products and Applications (DPA) organization, delivers and sustains digital products across Strategy and Transformation's core priorities to accelerate PepsiCo's digital transformation. The Digital Product Sr Manager is accountable for leading a global FinOps team and collaborating broadly with other teams to substantially reduce infrastructure costs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate to define and clearly communicate the FinOps mission, strategy, objectives, milestones and key results. Accountable for broad collaboration to understand other teams and their strategies, then collaboratively defining the FinOps mission, strategy, roadmap and build an integrated and collaborative plan. [This role is accountable for making FinOps strategic decisions. The role must consult and clearly communicate with roles up to SVP. This role must broadly and effectively communicate the strategy and plan within DP&A and across other organizations and functions. This role must build strong and global relationships.]
- Manage the budget for a global team of employees and potentially contractors. Accountable for determining staffing needs and hiring. Also accountable for advocating for promotions and making compensation decisions based on performance. [This role is accountable for defining and managing the budget of the team, including any contractors and vendor statements of work as needed.]
- Lead a global team to execute the FinOps plan. Must clearly define goals and plan then hold team accountable for delivering results. Accountable for high team morale by recognizing and celebrating success and growing the team effectiveness through retrospectives. Accountable for resolving obstacles quickly and implementing processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness. [This role is accountable for delivering $4MM infrastructure savings in 2025. This role is accountable for making decisions and leading a global team to execute an integrated plan, which relies substantially on other teams to deliver. This role must influence others who are often at higher levels and not direct reports and often with competing priorities and located in different countries. This role must effectively collaborate with other functions and organizations (e.g. Vendor Management, Finance, PepsiCo Cloud Cost Office, etc)]
- Reduce cloud and on-premise infrastructure costs. Accountable for external networking and applying best practices for FinOps. Accountable for leading a team to analyze complex data from multiple systems, prioritizing and reducing costs. This includes decommissioning apps, which might be difficult and require excellent communication and persuasion skills. [This role must consider many factors and make difficult tradeoff decisions to reduce costs without adversely impacting business expectations for about DP&A 300 apps. This role must communicate effectively so people who are not direct reports take action. This leader must also increase transparency by building dashboarding and insights to convince people to act, to identify issues and to celebrate successes.]
- Lead AMS contract management to structure & implement optimized pricing model for DP&A apps. [This role must broadly collaborate with other colleagues, leadership and Vendor Management to reduce vendor costs without adversely impacting business expectations for about 300 DP&A apps.]
- Rationalize apps to save money. [This role must gather evidence and clearly articulate a compelling reason why some apps should be decommissioned. This role must have the ability to persuade others to make difficult decisions and changes, then hold people accountable for implementing the changes. This role must work with others to build a decommissioning plan which might be perceived by others as negative. This role must be able to clearly communicate why the decommissioning is in the best interest of PepsiCo even though the change is difficult. This role must be excellent communicator. This role must frequently make difficult trade-off decisions and ensure the team can be agile and flexible to adapt to changes.]
- Optimize inefficient processes and tools. [This role must identify inefficiencies in processes and tools then make improvement decisions. Recommendations must be convincingly communicated to others. Making changes requires planning and collaboration with other teams across DP&A and other organizations. The changes have the potential to impact many people across geographies at a variety of roles and in different functions and organization.]
- Increase transparency via reporting and insights. [This role must identify what dashboards, reports and insights are needed then lead the team to design, build, test, deploy and sustain these analytics. This requires understanding complex data and leading a team to work with different tools. This role must set measurable goals and KPIs. This role be able to communicate challenges and clarify what is needed to resolve the risks or impediments.]
- Research and implement the latest FinOps best practices and tools. [This role must consult people within PepsiCo and externally to understand FinOps best practices. This role must decide what best practices to implement and convince others to implement them. For example, this role must understand how AI can be used in FinOps and build a strategy and plan to implement AI FinOps. This role must be able to convince people to change and then execute any changes.]
- Lead by example and inspire a continuous learning culture for team development. [This role demonstrate company values by practicing the PepsiCo way and coach the team to do the same. Accountable for ensuring associates understand how their work links to strategies at all levels. Also accountable for ensuring the team is leveraging ways to improve like PEP U, My Learning and other learning tools.

Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading an IT team in a large company or top-tier consulting firm
- Highly analytical with the ability to simplify complexity and make good decisions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and mitigate uncertainty while dealing with ambiguity
- Experience assessing and optimizing tools using Lean Six Sigma and other techniques
- Ability to make difficult trade-off decisions using a scientific approach to assess pros, cons and probabilities
- Exceptional communication skills to create and present complex topics in a simple and convincing way to potentially large audiences and/or SVP and C-suite if needed
- Creative thinker who is passionate about making things more efficient and effective
- Ability to research and collaborate to understand new and emerging trends to save money
- Experienced change leader who can build broad networks and deliver results in a collaborative way
- Ability to clearly communicate and convince others to act using influence rather than direct control
- Highly experienced presentation skills with the ability to communicate with senior leaders and have the skills to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically then exceed expectations with tactical execution
- Experience leading and managing a diverse and global team of contractors and employees
- Curiosity for learning and for helping others grow
- Preferred experience in FinOps (infrastructure cost savings) and/or Finance industry
- Experience working with vendors to deliver highly visible & complex programs
- Experience applying agile ways of working (e.g. Scrum, SAFe) to deliver results with high team org health
