Position Summary:

It's an exciting time at SiriusXM+Pandora where we've come together to create the largest audio entertainment company. The Manager, Content Marketing, Development and Partnerships will be responsible for the execution and implementation of SiriusXM Content Marketing initiatives for Music Programming partnerships. The role will manage day to day relationships with internal and external partners to market our large catalogue of music channels, unique music programming and events and ensure that the SiriusXM brand is represented. The role will also be a key liaison across the entire music vertical to ensure that messaging is cohesive, contractual obligations are met, and will maintain rights management for all intellectual property. We are looking for someone who possesses the ability to find unique and new ways to market SiriusXM with external partners and closely work with digital, press, and brand resources to ensure that content is being marketed on brand across owned and third-party channels including, but not limited to: printed materials, digital activations, television spots, third party coverage (video and social/digital), etc. The team needs someone relentlessly on the lookout for creative ways to cross promote our properties, raise awareness and engagement with our core consumer, while also growing and developing our target customer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A key member of the content marketing team in managing internal and external partners (as designated), in relation to partnership and marketing.
    • Manage third party intellectual property and a high volume of assets and approvals.
    • Closely review and ensure that the SiriusXM brand, talent, and other IP are properly utilized.
  • Work closely with the programming team on managing the execution of content opportunities across verticals; both internally and with third party partners and brands.
    • Maintain large volume database (tracking approvals, assets, and contractual obligations).
  • Evaluate and explore systems, processes, and levels of standardization to assist the team/company in achieving its goals and objectives year over year.
    • Create reports that review initiatives and metrics and evaluate success.
  • Research and develop external partners and brands to work on new ways to market our SiriusXM programming and maximize brand awareness, monetize content opportunities, ensure proper attribution, and increase marketing distribution capabilities.
  • Create clear synergy and communication between various departments for large company initiatives (Free Listening, Preview Channel, Holiday, Channel Changes, Tentpole events/Channel launches, etc.).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee interns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree from a 4 year University.
  • 5 yrs of experience; 2+ in music marketing (label, agency, partnerships, etc.).
  • Ability to travel when needed.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Music industry.

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Proven success in managing multiple projects at once and working closely upper management.
  • Strong skills in team organization, tracking, collaborative problem solving, and time management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proven track record with accomplishing tasks on time and following up on outstanding items.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge -- a bonus.
