Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer with knowledge of C++ to join our Tel Aviv R&D center as a part of the Cross Platform Agent team. The Cross Platform team takes part in the development of Cortex XDR Agent, a disruptive anti-exploit & anti-malware product. The XDR agent is the foundation of most of the Cortex products, providing the "boots-on-the-ground" for Palo Alto's endpoint protection solutions. The team focuses on the endpoint and works on delivering a cross cross-platformplatform agent for Windows, MacOS & Linux, and builds revolutionary new capabilities to improve security and performance over millions of endpoints.

In this role, you will contribute to the core agent components, with a strong focus on utilizing AI and developing E2E and performance testing. This position is suited for a motivated individual contributor who is eager to contribute, innovate, learn, dive into system-level engineering, and grow while delivering production-grade solutions that run at massive scale across cloud workloads and endpoints.

• Develop features in Cortex Agent deployed across endpoint platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Maintain high-quality, production-grade software in modern, high-performance C++.
• Develop automated E2E tests.
• Research and support production issues.
• Contribute to AI skills and features

• 2 years of experience developing in modern C++ (C++14/17/20).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Positive 'can-do' mindset, able to work independently and within a team.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with Python development.
• Knowledge of the operating systems API.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity.
