Job Summary
As the Senior Director of Product Management for Unit 42, you will be the primary product leader responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the entire Unit 42 portfolio. This encompasses our world-renowned Consulting Services (Incident Response and Proactive Services), Threat Intelligence subscriptions, and Retainer-based offerings. You will lead a high-performing team to build a cohesive ecosystem that is closely integrated with the Palo Alto Networks platform, ensuring Unit 42's expertise and capabilities are leveraged across everything we do to protect our customers from the world's most sophisticated threats. By driving this tight collaboration, you will enable our customers to defend against evolving risks and recover rapidly from major security incidents. This role reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer of Unit 42.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overarching product vision and strategy for Unit 42, ensuring that Consulting Services, Threat Intelligence, and Retainer offerings work in unison to provide maximum value.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of product managers.
- Maintain and prioritize comprehensive roadmaps for all Unit 42 products and services, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and customer needs.
- Maintain the roadmap for Unit 42's AI-led transformation, specifically focusing on the 'agentification' of services to automate and scale our expert-led offerings.
- Direct the strategy, launch, and global growth of our dedicated Threat Intelligence subscription offerings into a market leading offering.
- Serve as the central point of contact for Unit 42 product strategy, coordinating closely with Engineering, Service Line Leaders, and cross-functional product leaders throughout Palo Alto Networks (Cortex, Prisma, Strata, Identity).
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and GTM teams to successfully launch new offerings, refine pricing/packaging, and drive global adoption.
- Maintain a deep analysis of the competitive landscape to ensure Unit 42 remains the industry benchmark for incident response, proactive services, and threat intelligence.
- Represent Unit 42 in external analyst reports and product evaluations, both for dedicated coverage and as a strategic component of the broader Palo Alto Networks platforms.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience or Master's degree with 12 years of experience or PhD with 8 years of experience in product management.
- Proven track record in product management with a strong grasp of the product lifecycle-from strategy and roadmap development to execution and delivery.
- Demonstrated success overseeing a diverse portfolio that includes both software/subscription products and professional/consulting services.
- Expert at maintaining complex multi-year roadmaps and managing the end-to-end product lifecycle from inception to sunset.
- Understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, including Incident Response, proactive security services, and how threat intelligence powers the broader security ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and align priorities across diverse technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced technical (MS, PhD) or business degree (MBA).
- Extensive product management experience within the cybersecurity industry.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
$260,400.00 - $357,375.00/yr
