Job Description

Job Summary
As a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer for SASE, you will be a key technical expert responsible for developing and executing the outbound technical marketing plan. You will create compelling technical content, conduct in-depth competitive analysis, and act as a technical evangelist to support partners, customers, and internal teams in understanding and adopting our cutting-edge network security solutions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the technical marketing plan for SASE, including creating technical content like whitepapers, demos, videos, and training materials.
  • Lead automation initiatives for demos and competitive testing to enhance technical and operational excellence.
  • Conduct competitive research and hands-on testing, effectively communicating key advantages to sales, customers, and partners.
  • Act as a key technical evangelist for Palo Alto Networks, presenting at seminars, conferences, customer briefings, and internal meetings.
  • Proactively collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to identify product gaps and drive enhancements based on competitive analysis and customer feedback.
  • Serve as the domain authority on Palo Alto Networks SASE products, providing Systems Engineers with expert information and support for competitive situations.
  • Set up, maintain, and automate a competitive test lab, including test harnesses and competitive products.
  • Maintain a strong focus on the customer journey, user experience, and usability, ensuring our products are simple and effective.

Qualifications (Additional Job Description)

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer, DevOps/Solution Architect, or a similar role in the network/cybersecurity field.
  • Deep technical proficiency in networking, routing, switching, and automation (APIs, scripting).
  • Extensive experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex technical topics to both business and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with SASE or SD-WAN technologies.
  • Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure, OCI).
  • Proven track record of taking products from concept to market success.
  • Experience building and maintaining POC and Demo environments.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.

$159,000.00 - $255,000.00/yr
