The External Interface Integration Lead will support efforts related to external interface readiness and execution of the Phoenix portfolio within the space security mission domain. These activities include the coordination of all program activities with externals, attendance and providing support to external user forums, the development of responses for mission area and technical evolution to the customer, and driving the vision of the Phoenix operational program alongside the development of next-generation space capability. The work of the External Interface Engineer will be closely tied to drive the statement of work requirements to closure. A successful candidate will understand space satellite mission planning and operations and prepare review/briefing material for working group meetings, reviews and program status. Expected travel is approximately 10%.
Your Role and Impact:
Drive program technical execution in accordance with Northrop Grumman Systems Engineering processes and best practices.
Be self-directed while leveraging your technical and leadership skills to help bring missions Interfaces together
Spearhead development of interface control documents governing interdependencies between segments.
Chair interface working groups and reviews with both customers and mission partners.
Play a key role in major program milestone and readiness reviews.
Author and provide input to major program data products and other deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience.
Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
Experience in one or more of the following system engineering knowledge areas: technical planning, interface definition, chart package development, system design, system integration, verification and validation, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total system
Previous experience supporting the authoring of CDRL deliverables and controlled documents
Previous experience with troubleshooting, anomaly resolution and performing analysis on interface connectivity between developmental and operational systems, to include tracking issues to closure via tickets
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in supporting external interface coordination, system test, and satellite ground software
Previous experience supporting status and working group meetings with customers and other important stakeholders

Be able to make decisions under high pressure environments and maintain composure in stressful situations
Previous experience supporting coordination with antenna system providers, infrastructure providers, and other external entities
Previous experience with Class C / demonstration programs
Prior aerospace-related work experience for a U.S Government Agency or Contractor
Previous experience coordinating and planning with internal and external teams on installation of network equipment at various customer sites

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
