This position can be based in either Palmdale, CA or Melbourne, FL.

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. This position shall serve as a communication conduit between the supplier(s) organization and the NG program office(s) and other relevant stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Report progress against the baseline to NG management and takes appropriate actions to keep the program on track, including proactively driving corrective actions when necessary to maintain commitments to internal and external customer(s).
Assist key suppliers in the resolution of significant issues that are and/or are likely to have a business-wide impact by working cross functionally with engineering, quality, procurement, program team members and operations leadership.
Obtain, implement, track supplier(s) performance improvement plan(s), in order to ensure cost, quality, and on time delivery performance is in line with internal and external customer expectations.
Coordinate rate readiness activities (risk analysis, baselines, run rates, maturity and capacity assessments/audits) to secure ability to meet the needs of the NGAS sector and programs/customers.
Ability to effectively engage, communicate and develop strong business relationships with all levels of leadership and professionals within the supplier(s) organization, internal customers and stakeholders to coordinate and partner on improvement programs/actions to achieve and sustain high levels of performance.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years' of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience
7+ years of experience as team lead and/or manager of people including working in a cross-functional environment
Demonstrated performance leading and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services
Strong project/program management skills, with a proven ability to manage quickly shifting priorities, requirements and overlapping deadlines
Exceptional communication and presentation skills that demonstrate an ability to comprehend and explain objectives, initiatives and complex program management competencies to a broad range of audiences
Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, and program management
Rigorous knowledge of metrics, performance tracking, and data integrity
Address risks and opportunities across multiple programs and update stakeholders
High level of proficiency in MS Office suite, SharePoint, SAP and program management/supply chain tools
Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in managing a broad range of suppliers including providers of complex components/assemblies/systems, services, and commodities
Experience with source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation
Ability to assess a supplier's factory operational model and walk a manufacturing line/process
Experience in conducting Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis and related evaluation tools/processes
Ability to develop strategic plans and transition to strategy deployment
* Completion of Program Management Training
Salary Range:
Palmdale Site $175,400 -$263,200
Melbourne Site $151,500-$227,300
Primary Level Salary Range: $151,500.00 - $263,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
