Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer/Digital Engineering Lead to join our diverse and talented engineering organization in support of our National Defense as part of our radar system development programs. The Digital Engineering Lead will help the DARC team learn and apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Modeling and Simulation (M&S), and Digital Twins to all phases of the development lifecycle, to include design, development, integration, and test.
What You'll Get to Do:
Identify the right digital engineering processes to use to solve our customers challenges
Lead teams to implement digital engineering processes, such as MBSE, and Performance Modeling and Simulation
Consult with teams and engineers, including direct participation in working sessions, to provide guidance, and help them work through challenges related to digital engineering
Some engineers are new to Digital Engineering, and you'll help them get up to speed and become effective practitioners
Help our customers understand the value of digital engineering, how it works, and make it more accessible to them
Ensure we're employing Digital Engineering properly to meet customer requirements, e.g. major milestone meetings and CDRL deliveries
Basic Qualifications:
BS with 12+ years of experience; MS with 10+ years of experience; OR PhD with 8+ years of experience
Active Secret clearance at time of application
Experience with Agile Methodology and Project Management
Strong understanding of Agile task management (Scrum and Kanban)
Iterative development and alignment with quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning
Cross-functional and matrixed team support
Expertise with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Expertise with Dassault Systems Cameo Enterprise Architecture (aka NoMagic Cameo Systems Modeler)
Experience with descriptive modeling diagrams for DoDAF or UAF architecture framework using SySML/UML languages
Experience with Teamwork Cloud configuration for Cameo Collaborator model publishing
Expertise with MS Office tool suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint)

Experience working through the Systems Engineering lifecycle process for system development
Experience with SharePoint or SharePoint Online
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience and a demonstrated ability to project plan and execute within schedule and budget constraints
Demonstrated independent planning, organization, and working in cross-functional teams with a customer focus
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
Local to Colorado Springs
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or Agile Product Management or equivalent Agile training certification
Experience with Radar Systems
Experience with requirement traceability for descriptive design modeling and implementation planning
Experience with Cameo tools such as Cameo Simulation Toolkit to enable the simulation of enterprise level systems
Familiarity with construction of a Digital Twin architecture and Digital Threads for development
Experience with integration between requirement management tools such as DOORS into Cameo Enterprise Architecture
Familiarity with DOORS for requirements management
Experience or familiarity with configuration management of Cameo Enterprise Architecture projects

Primary Level Salary Range: $161,000.00 - $241,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
