Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The Staff Supply Chain Planning Specialist will have complete program responsibility and authority to manage all program subcontracts, materials and services. The successful candidate will manage the definition of program outsourcing requirements and will lead the integrated program team (IPT) and direct functional organizations to achieve material-related program objectives (cost, schedule, quality), while managing and communicating material risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities

Convey to the Program Manager and IPT a full understanding of the materials acquisition and subcontractor requirements and plan.
Lead the IPT and direct functional organizations to achieve material-related program objectives (cost, schedule, quality), while managing material risks and opportunities.
Ensure program budget, materials availability, and quality objectives are met by managing and directing the activities of IPT members, the Procurement Team and external suppliers and customers.
Develop and communicate material acquisition and subcontractor management objectives and strategies.
Manage the Make/Buy process.
Manage material risks and obsolescence.
Track and communicate performance against program financial objectives (budget performance, sales and return on sales).
Identify and promptly communicate all deficiencies and deviations from plan and assure and manage actions required to correct them.
Represent Supply Chain Management to Customers, Program Management and NG Management.
Support internal and external audits.
Manage material-related proposal activity including line-loss and quotation requests.
Proactively manage and monitor supplier performance.
Promote a focus on safety and utilize Lean, PES or Six Sigma tools throughout program planning and implementation to emphasize continuous improvement.
Requirements

BS or BA in Business or Technical field
20+ Years of Experience in Global Supply Chain, with the following focus areas:
Subject Matter Expert in SAP
Experience with managing a GSC team with direct reports
Experience with Earned Value Management System and support as Cost Account Manager
Experience as Global Supply Chain Proposal lead with Corporate NAR/ICE
Experience supporting all phases of product life cycle (Development, EMD, full rate production)
Experience with long-term capacity and resource planning for manufacturing ramp-up
Experience supporting long-term supplier forecasts
* Experience with supporting Supplier Management Team construct

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,400.00 - $189,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
