This leadership position will be based in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The Sustainment Contract Lead will report to the Mission Systems IPT Director and will report functionally to the Avionics Integration Organization.

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for team performance of all MS IPT scope and activities within the Sustainment portfolio through all project phases (e.g., proposals, planning, execution, & closeout)
Manage, track, and report earned value metrics as the Control Account Manager (CAM) of all sustainment statement of work within the MS IPT, to include labor and material (subcontractor labor) control accounts
Prepare for and support monthly business rhythm by providing EVM artifacts and ensuring accurate EAC forecasting
Manage staffing in collaboration with the IPT leadership team to ensure sufficient staff levels and appropriate skillsets are available to execute the sustainment statement of work
Perform risk and opportunity management, to include developing and tracking mitigation plans
Develop and maintain a robust understanding of end user needs and collaboratively turn strategies into actionable plans
Capture and translate mission needs into tasking statements authorized for work by Technical Direction Letters and/or Engineering Change Proposals
Coordinate engineering reachback support to the Degraded Action Cell team to resolve critical technical issues affecting operations and/or mission availability of the Triton payloads
Working with the MS IPT Operations team, ensure adequate on-site engineering support at all Triton operational fleet locations, to include deployment of Field Service Engineers and rotational engineering support
Coordinate with Supplier Management Teams to manage supplier performance
Effectively use leadership skills in a team environment and possess effective communication and presentation skills to all levels (individual contributor up to executive leadership)
Once in role, this position
could possibly offer a hybrid work environment. Scheduled telework days are approved at manager's discretion. This role requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a relevant STEM discipline with 8 years of related engineering experience.
Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) of labor, material, and subcontract labor accounts
Demonstrated experience in Risk and Opportunity Management
Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in STEM related field
Experience in collaboration with other technical leads (SEIT, Product Support, Test) in a team-oriented environment to achieve program goals
Experience managing suppliers as part of a government/DoD contract
* Current DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
