Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO
What You'll Get to Do:
• Have multiple years of experience develop and mentor new engineers.
• Lead on-site supplier engagements, including multiple people team activities such as supplier quarterly performance reviews and audits.
• Understands continuous process improvement (CI) and can effectively develop and execute CI initiatives and activities.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify suppliers' process issues and developing solutions, and present to all levels of leaderships.
• Effectively perform supplier surveillance activities designed to manage and improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation.
• Apply technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to analyze and audit our suppliers' processes and capabilities.
• Capable of leading cross-functional teams in pursuit of performance improvements aligned to department and organizational goals.
• Mitigate supplier quality risk to prevent/minimize business impact from supplied material defects
• Proactive reduction and prevention of supplied material defect occurrences and verification of supplied material defect claims
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
• Understands general contracting principles in a Department of Defense and commercial environment
• Establish positive working relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Represent the company with credibility, confidence and professionalism.
• Ideal candidate must be able to travel up to 75% of the Time
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Supplier Engineer (level 3) or Sr. Principal Software Engineer (level 4)

Basic Qualifications for a Supplier Quality Engineer 3:

Bachelor's degree in STEM or related technical field with 5 or more years of relevant experience in Quality, Manufacturing or Design Engineering ( 9 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor degree).

Experience inspecting Printed Wiring Boards.

Inspection experience, process knowledge and/or manufacturing engineering experience in PWB.

Experience with of ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements

Must be able to travel up to 75% of the Time

Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

Experience leading teams and projects

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

US Citizenship required.

Basic Qualifications for a Supplier Quality Engineer 4:

Bachelor's degree in STEM or related technical field with 8 or more years of relevant experience in Quality, Manufacturing or Design Engineering or 14 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor degree.

Experience inspecting Printed Wiring Boards.

Inspection experience, process knowledge and/or manufacturing engineering experience in PWB.

Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements

Must be able to travel up to 75% of the Time

Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

Experience leading teams and projects

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or other Engineering discipline.
• 10+ years working in the defense industry.
• Experience in the manufacture of Printed Wiring Boards and CCAs.
• Six Sigma or Lean certifications.
• Experience in auditing to ISO 9001 and AS9100, AS9102 requirements.
• J-std-001, IPC600, IPC610, IPC620, IPC6010 series and Mil-Std-883 certification.
• Training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5M)
• ASQ Lead Auditor, CQE, CQM Certification
• Possess current DOD Secret Clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
