Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Level 4 Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in our San Diego, CA location supporting the F-22 Program. This position is Onsite located in San Diego, CA. We are unable to accommodate a full-time remote arrangement. We are looking for a problem solving Senior Planning Specialist supporting the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization to lead, coordinate and execute assigned tasks within established constraints, while also being flexible to ever evolving program requirements.

This is an incredible opportunity for an individual to lead program efforts and work hand-in-hand with Program Managers, Contracts/Subcontracts, Operations, Business Management, Quality and Engineering! The selected individual should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations set by senior leaders, significantly diverse assignments, and regularly shifting priorities within a collaborative team setting across all levels, all while performing with very limited management oversight.

What you'll get to do:

Develop supply chain strategy and leads activities for GSC in all phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP), working with program and other cross-functional team members from requirements establishment through final material deliveries

Manage the GSC scope for multifaceted program(s), proposal through close-out; coordinate interdepartmental activity, facilitate internal/external team communication, coordinate with Suppliers, and integrate efforts across all GSC functions

Participate in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management. Analyze and aggregate supply / demand requirements.

Lead supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolution

Participate in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. Create/release requisitions. Receive/review requirements for non-standard parts. Analyze lead times and identifies critical path procurements.

Demonstrate problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program management

Regularly brief the GSC Program Management team and program leadership on GSC activity status and issues affecting program performance: Cost, risks and opportunities, and schedule

Will be involved in special projects and continuous improvement activities

Mentor other team members on procedural best practices with an eye for maximum cost/schedule/performance efficiencies


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with at least 8 years of experience, or Master's Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field

Experience in project management

Direct experience working in Supply Chain / Logistics

Experience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s)

Experience in working with or in the areas of supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, or supplier/program/product scheduling

Experience with or in-depth knowledge of Federal and Defense Contracting requirements including FAR/DFARS/ITAR

US Citizenship

Ability to obtain a secret clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

Active Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance

Master's Degree

APICS/ASCM Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification or similar

Significant experience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s)

Highly proficient level of experience with Excel and ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills

Proficiency in Earned Value Management methodology and subject matter

Control Account Manager (CAM) certification

Demonstrated success/experience in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering or program management

Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management across multiple levels of an organization

- Experience working with multiple complex contracting types and agreements including FFP, CR and CPFF type contracts, while also having an understanding for special payment provisions (progress/performance-based payments)

Previous proposal generation/evaluation experience

Demonstrated ability to influence team members, interact with peers and all levels of management in the organization

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
