What You'll Get To Do:
The Engineering Process and Governance group creates standard practices and processes for a large group of engineers. Our authors are specialists in their fields to develop and maintain exceptional engineering guidance. We work closely with contacts across multiple organizations to ensure our handbooks and manuals are accurate and concise for the engineers who will be relying on these documents.
Create, revise, and review Standard Practices and Processes.
Develop and deliver training on electrical design processes.
Develop model-based electrical design processes.
Collaborate across cross-functional teams (technical writing, training, tools).
Participate in Agile ceremonies
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university
Principal: 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 30years with a Master's; or 0 years with PhD
Sr. Principal: 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 6 years with a Master's; or 4 years with PhD
US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Demonstrated understanding of Engineering processes and governance across the development lifecycle for a high reliability product, including requirements decomposition, initial design, design for testability, design reviews, manufacturing processes, and product release.
Experience writing technical processes, procedures and/or training materials.
Familiarity with Mission Assurance/Quality compliance and auditing
Familiarity with electrical analysis processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field.
Active S//SAR or TS//SAR clearance
Experience with ground-based missile systems
Experience with electrical design of cable assemblies or CCAs
Experience with Siemens Capital, Xpedition, and NX
Experience with complex system development on large programs
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Engineering process training development and support
Experience performing on an Agile development program; use of Atlassian tools

- Employee Discounts This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
