Uses a computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
Job Responsibilities Level 2 :

Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules, and requirements

Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment

(Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.

Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges, and routes merchandise to destinations.

Basic Qualifications:

For a level 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.

Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines

Must be detail-oriented and have good communication skills

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office skills

Valid US Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with DD Form 1149

Working knowledge of SAP

Experienced/Certified user of a forklift and/or hand truck

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with change

Able to lift 50 plus pounds & stand for long periods of time

Primary Level Salary Range: $41,300.00 - $68,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $49,100.00 - $81,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
