Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Test Engineer / Senior Principal Electrical Test Engineer for the Air Vehicle Equipment (AVE) On Board Test Equipment (OBTE) integration and test team. This position will be located in Roy, UT with occasional travel to other hub locations that will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
What You'll Get to Do:
Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.
Test planning, execution, reporting, and integration support.
Perform data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build or hardware component
Interface with software developers and systems engineers in support of verification
Prepare detailed test reports and support formal verification of the system
Product integration, regression, and verification testing including checkout in system test labs.
Short- and long-term integration planning and execution of multiple concurrent baselines. This includes integrating subsystem functionality into system capabilities per design with an emphasis on system stability and performance
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Integrating hardware from sub-system teams, interface with other elements, and the system and segment level teams
Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Electrical Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 5 years or experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; PhD with 1 years of experience
Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 8 years or experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; PhD with 4 years of experience
Active secret clearance with a recent (5 yr) background investigation.
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
Software and/or Hardware testing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
A current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years
Automated Test experience (development and execution)
Experience with Siemens Capital cable design tools
Proficiency in DOORS and Cameo
Teamcenter/CPLM experience
Continuous Process Improvement experience
Knowledge of various data transmission formats (eg. Serial, TCP/IP, Fiber etc)
Experience designing and setting up a Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) type test lab

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
