This position is in our Strategic Deterrent Systems Division to execute the Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase of the Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program in support of the United States Air Force. This position will be located on campus in Roy, UT.

What You'll Get To Do:
Setting a vision for and leading a team of engineers and management staff to execute the Mission Equipment scope of work.
Performing financial and performance analyses to develop and implement long-term staffing plans and process improvements.
Providing mentorship and growth opportunities to the Mission Equipment team and growing a strong leadership bench.
Driving on-time delivery of Mission Equipment work products to support the design timelines of the Mission Subsystems organization.
Utilizing earned value management and other financial tools to plan, execute, and report status.
Supporting the integrated planning of complex interdependent projects to support Sentinel program milestones, balancing prioritization of Engineering resources between competing projects and teams.
Ensuring schedules and program plans are credible, substantiated by quantitative data, and bounded by risks and opportunities.
Supporting a comprehensive risk and opportunity management program for the Infrastructure IPT.
Negotiating competing priorities and interests across a wide range of internal and external stakeholder communities to pursue the best course of action for the Sentinel program.
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of distinct customer communities, subcontractors, and industry partners.
Providing regular briefings, reports, and other communications to executive leadership.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
May be required to travel up to 25% of the time.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or other related STEM discipline, and 6+ years of related experience
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval
1+ years of formal experience leading a project and/or driving performance against cost and schedule in the Aerospace and Defense industry
1+ years of experience with design and development of large mechanical systems
3+ years of experience with CAD modeling
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
ICBM Experience
Experience with NX CAD modeling software
Experience with ordnance device design and test
Experience with subcontract management
Cost Account Manager training and/or experience managing programs or subcontracts in an Earned Value framework
Strong understanding and broad application of engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations

Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
