As a Software Engineering Manager 3 you will be the leader for a team of software engineers. These engineers will be designing and developing software products and solutions to provide Software Assurance guidance and constraints, foundational Software Infrastructure to host applications, and build/deploy technologies and best practices for all SW product teams within the C2 organization in support of the Sentinel EMD program.

What You'll Get To Do:
Ensuring members have sufficient statement of work and resources are balanced across various efforts.
Managing member performance and supervising employee development and mentoring efforts (including engagement strategies for higher performers and corrective actions for lower performers)
Coordinating with Sentinel leadership to ensure appropriate staffing / destaffing actions are developed and executed relative to their department and managing employee movement.
Meeting budget targets and interpreting higher level guidance for implementation within the organization for process implementation and improvement.
Managing program requirements and accurately forecasting work scope for program leadership
Rapid response to leadership on requests for programmatic status, and early communication of challenges to execution
Implementation of agile software development practices to support defense contract development programs
Perform as a leader within the Command and Control C2 organization

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with 8 years of relevant experience or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years
US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
1+ years of experience in EVMS in an Agile environment
3+ years in formal/lead management position
1+ years managing software development programs
1+ years of experience with IT infrastructure and software application hosting environments
1+ years of experience with SW Assurance best practices
1+ years of experience with Development/Test environments need to function and operate

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers, and customers
1+ years managing software development programs
Excellent technical writing skills, and team building skills.
Subcontractor technical oversight experience.
Previous access to SAP.
Experience with the Sentinel weapon system, especially Command & Launch.
Earned Value Management Experience.
Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
Strong ability to communicate unique problems and recommend potential process/business solutions in an Agile environment.
Successful track record of program performance, interpersonal team building skills, and management experience.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and best practices
Ability to apply Systems Thinking and Systems Engineering to drive the teams to a holistic design, integrating COTS solutions via modularity and well-defined interfaces for a sustainable system
* Demonstrated experience leading a team of technical contributors
Salary Range: $178,500.00 - $267,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
