Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Senior Staff Engineer Systems Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
In this role, you will utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to guide and support the Systems Engineering Integration (SEI) Integrated Product Team (IPT), for cross-IPT collaboration and future program captures. The individual will be responsible for operating in an agile team environment to provide cross-IPT support as the SME of the program's implementation of a digital culture in the development of the architecture model and associated system requirements. The individual must possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communications skills and effective problem solving capabilities. This candidate will act as a cross-IPT technical integrator working closely with peers and managers of other engineering disciplines, program managers, and IPT leads.
Key Responsibilities:

Model based system architecture development, supplier model integration, and internal system interface control
Capture analytical tool and workflows (analytical architectures)
Provide requirements allocation and interface definition support to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings at technical and program reviews and boards.
Apply extensive technical expertise in the development of technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 12 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 10 years of related professional/military experience
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation), and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Must have experience in systems engineering with MBSE, software design, or demonstrated ability to work with software-aided design tools in the development of system architecture

Must have experience leading engineering teams

Must have experience in system design, integration, or test of aircraft systems

Preferred Qualifications:

The ability to effectively communicate with engineers and management from multiple disciplines
Final adjudicated government Top Secret clearance
Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architecture and the Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
Experience with Agile workflows
Knowledge of configuration management of model-based architecture baselines
Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
Proven ability to brief technical presentations to both internal and external stakeholders

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,500.00 - $249,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
