We are looking for a Project Manager to support the Launch Vehicles business unit in the Launch and Exploration Division. The selected individual will be a valued member of the Program Operations team, focused organizational efficiency and business operations. This position is located in Chandler, AZ and is 100% on-site.

Role and Responsibilities:
In this role, the candidate understands the goals and priorities of the LED organization, ensuring all activities are aligned with these objectives, interpreting and developing organizational strategies, policies and practices to meet business objectives. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
Oversee operational aspects of ongoing projects and support the program management office in planning, proposals, and general deliverables for internal and external customers
Interface with groups outside the program for critical projects in support of program execution such as IRAD, facilities, and program integration
Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports
Assess project issues and negotiate/develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
Develop mechanisms for monitoring and communicating project progress and for intervention and problem solving with the program management office
Coordinate reporting to Division, Sector, and other internal partners
Collaborate with program leaders to develop and maintain effective business rhythm
Collaborate with IT and other business partners to leverage / implement tools for improved organizational efficiency
Identify and execute process improvements
Ensure accountability among leadership teams for BU initiative, such as workforce demand planning, status reporting, action item closure, etc.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must be a self-starter, have excellent written and oral communication skills, be highly collaborative, organized, team oriented, and be able to effectively multi-task competing priorities and schedules across the organization
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience; OR 6 years' experience with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
Able to excel in a fast paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change
Strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently, meet deadlines, and drive tasks to completion
Experience supporting customers in a project/technical lead role
Ability to prioritize and multi-task with competing demands
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
Experience with MS Office Suite
Active Secret Clearance required at the time of application
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Agile experience, Jira user, scrum master or product owner
4+ years of Project Management Experience
Experience working in technology or development organizations
Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
