This position can be performed at any of the major Northrop Grumman locations across the US. We will also consider virtual telecommuters.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Leads the end-to-end lifecycle of all IT assets-including hardware, software, SaaS, and virtual resources-across Northrop Grumman's global enterprise. The role creates and executes the IT Asset Management (ITAM) strategy, ensures compliance with DoD and corporate licensing requirements, drives cost-avoidance initiatives, and provides executive-level visibility into asset health and financial stewardship to assist in strategic decision making. Serves as the primary liaison between CIDO, Business Management, Procurement, Security, and the Service Management organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Define, maintain, and continuously improve the IT Asset Management governance framework, aligning with DoD regulations, NIST standards, and corporate policies.
Oversee acquisition, provisioning, maintenance, renewal, and disposition of all IT assets.
Direct the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the enterprise ITAM tool (e.g., ServiceNow Asset Management, Flexera) and its integration with the CMDB.
Produce accurate inventories, depreciation schedules, and ROI analyses; reconcile asset data with Business Management for quarterly reporting and audit readiness.
Lead cost-avoidance and optimization initiatives (e.g., license reclamation, hardware refresh cycles).
Ensure compliance to software licensing agreements, DoD cybersecurity and export-control requirements (ITAR/EAR), and internal audit standards.
Coordinate internal and external audit activities; swiftly resolve findings and implement preventive controls.
Manage a team of ITAM analysts and coordinators; provide mentorship, performance coaching, and career development plans.
Foster strong partnerships with Procurement, Security, Service Desk, and Client Engineering to streamline asset processes.
Deliver executive dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) on asset utilization, lifecycle status, and financial impact.
Provide data-driven insights to support budgeting, capacity planning, and technology refresh decisions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
10+ years progressive experience in IT Asset Management or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
ITIL Foundation (preferred); CIM (Certified IT Asset Manager) or similar preferred.
Proficiency with enterprise AMDB platforms, CMDB integration, and software license management.
Familiarity with DoD contracting regulations, ITAR, and cybersecurity standards.
U.S. Person status is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the aerospace & defense industry.
Proven track record of delivering >15 % cost reductions through asset optimization.
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel, Power BI, or Tableau expertise.
Familiarity with ServiceNow and Flexera toolsets.

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,300.00 - $239,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
